The Comstor Service Annuity Manager is an easy to use SaaS application designed
to help resellers capture recurring revenue opportunities in their services
business.
The Comstor Service Annuity Manager is designed to work in conjunction with

Psion, TECSYS Partner on Visual Communication Solution
|
Psion Teklogix and TECSYS Inc. have agreed that Psion Teklogix'
rugged handheld computers are the first to be certified on TECSYS' Visual
Logistics software. TECSYS Visual Logistics Warehouse Management System (WMS) is
the only software to deliver visual instructions to workers to achieve higher
order accuracy and fill rates.
The combination of TECSYS' Visual Logistics software running on Psion Teklogix'
mobile handhelds removes the barriers to execution in the warehouse by visually
communicating instructions to workers. This allows tasks such as putaway,
picking and packing to be completed faster and with fewer errors. Visual
communication is particularly important in environments where multiple languages
or other factors can impede communications and logistics cycles. With the proven
reliability of Psion Teklogix devices and TECSYS software, companies can save
both time and money by improving service levels without the need to add
additional manpower.
To fulfill TECSYS' Visual Logistics certification standards, mobile computing
vendors are required to meet speed/response time benchmarks, reliability and
expanded keyboard flexibility above traditional WMS applications. Psion
Teklogix' WORKABOUT PRO and 7535 G2 rugged handheld computers passed these
certification criteria and were the first to be approved by TECSYS for field
deployment.
Through this partnership, Psion Teklogix and TECSYS are the first companies to
bring the improved accuracy and the streamlined approach of visual logistics to
the industry.

Sierra Marine Switches to CipherLab Wireless Handhelds
|
CipherLab, along with VAR eComputer announced that Sierra Marine is
replacing its outdated scanners with CipherLab's 1166 wireless BT scanners to
automate inventory management in its Chicago area warehouse. Sierra Marine is a
manufacturing division of Teleflex Marine and supplies OEM engine manufacturers
and boat builders with hundreds of boat parts every day. Reseller eComputer,
Inc. helped integrate the scanners at Sierra Marine with CipherLab distributor BlueStar,
Inc.
When paired with Sierra Marine's in-house software, employees scan orders going
out of the warehouse and new equipment coming in to manage inventory wirelessly
instantaneously. This real-time inventory management helps minimize over or
under-stocking, and manual errors while freeing employees to get other work
done. The large batch mode memory of the CipherLab 1166 enables Sierra Marine
employees to capture product information at the far reaches of a warehouse and
upload it automatically when back in range.
The CipherLab 1166 is a BT linear imaging reader that can connect anywhere
within its wireless range of up to 328 feet. It can capture up to 256 scans
while out of range and automatically transmit them to a host device when back,
or work in batch mode and store up to 8192 scans.
