| RETAIL AND TECHNOLOGY NEWS | Cabela's Deploys Revionics Price and Markdown Optimization SolutionsCabela's, known in the industry for its omnichannel approach to retailing, will deploy price and markdown optimization solutions from Revionics. The retailer will deploy Revionics Price Optimization for base price management and optimization and Revionics Markdown Optimization to maximize margins and sell-through. "Revionics has the optimization technology to ensure we offer our customers the right price and markdowns, at the right time, through the right channel – whether it be through our catalog, online, in-store, or mobile," said Cabela's chief merchandising officer Brian Linneman in a statement. "We look forward to partnering with Revionics to improve our multi-channel strategies, increase the productivity of our workforce and continue to enhance our processes."
Go Behind the Scenes of Build-A-Bear's Store of the FutureAt one point or another, even the best-behaved kid has wanted to take his or her toys apart to see what made them tick, whirr and buzz. Chico's Exec Reveals RFID Secrets and What's NextRFID has gained traction in retail for both item level and inventory accuracy; however, there are many other solutions available, including supply chain visibility, mark-down optimization, loss prevention, and customer experience and interaction enhancements. Susan Flake, director of business development for Motorola Solutions will be joined by Jon Beeler, director of merchandise operations for Sonoma Intimates with Chico's FAS, Justin Patton, director of the RFID research center at the University of Arkansas, and Deon Stander, vice president and general manager of global commercial for Avery Dennison to reveal opportunities that RFID presents as well as insight into what's next.
