Gap Implements Real Estate Performance Software

Gap adds Tririga for Retail and its workflow engine to drive real estate bottom line performance for approximately 3,100 store locations.

Gap selects Tririga for Retail to manage the workflow for its North American real estate portfolio and forecast the financial impact of real estate decisions, including whether to consolidate existing locations, remodel, renew in place or open new stores. Tririga's software helps Gap manage lease costs of existing stores through various workflow processes that allow for increased collaboration and visibility to real-time project information.

"Gap selected Tririga because it was the most well-designed package in the market that could deliver in one application the tools and technology to efficiently and flexibly manage our store real estate deal pipeline across our three brands, Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Gap as well as our Outlet business, and it provides a robust platform to manage the entire lifecycle process," says Ray Miolla, acting head of real estate, Gap. "Tririga for Retail takes our real estate operational processes and workflow to a new level - it's just what we need to effectively manage our real estate pipeline, and we can leverage its many capabilities in the future to implement our long term technology needs."

Army & Air Force Exchange Service Use Warehouse, Workforce Management and Collaboration Portal

Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) deploys Warehouse Management (WMS), Workforce Management (WFM) and Collaboration Portal software from RedPrairie. AAFES adds WFM tools from RedPrairie throughout its worldwide distribution network, with immediate plans to implement each system in two continental U.S. facilities.

RedPrairie's tools manage AAFES's large variety of products, ranging from food and beverage, to hazardous materials, to retail goods. Books-A-Million Implements Retail Execution Management Software

Books-A-Million selects Reflexis Retail Execution Management to improve customer service, increase productivity, and control labor costs. Books-A-Million plans to implement the software in all of its superstores, traditional stores and newsstands.

After a thorough review, Books-A-Million selected Reflexis Task Manager, StoreWalk, KPI Activator and Workforce Manager over solutions from three other software providers.

"In this challenging retail environment, it is critical to maximize the efficiency of the store level workforce," says Dennis Lyons, executive vice president of store operations. "Reducing store salaries in response to tough sales can have negative ramifications if done incorrectly. In order to benefit our shareholders, customers, and associates, it is important to understand the specific labor needs of every store. The workload given to stores must be managed upstream in the home office so that key tasks are accomplished and the right amount of time is allocated and scheduled for sales and customer interaction. We are confident that Reflexis gives us the tools to accomplish these goals."
